01Pairing guide · Connector ↔ phone

One pair.
Held forever.

How the connector talks to your phone, what to do when the code expires, and what every sync carries.

Already installed and just need the code? Open the app, tap Pair Connector, and enter the six-digit number the connector shows.

01

What the connector does.

UNIT — CONNECTOR / WINDOWS

The connector is a small Windows service that runs alongside Tally. It reads from your Tally company files — never writes — and forwards structured data to the Intracalc cloud. The phone pulls the latest snapshot when you open the app.

Install it once per Tally PC. If your office has multiple Tally machines, install on the one that hosts your primary data. The connector auto-discovers every company on that machine.

02

How pairing works.

FLOW — DEVICE-BOUND

After install, the connector generates a six-digit pairing code valid for ten minutes. Open the Intracalc app, tap Pair Connector, enter the code. The connector locks to your account.

If the code expires, restart the connector from the system tray. A fresh code appears immediately.

03

First sync.

WINDOW — 5–15 MIN · TYPICAL SMB

The first sync discovers every Tally company on the PC and pulls the last twelve months of vouchers, masters, and stock. Five to fifteen minutes for a typical dataset. After this, incremental updates ship within seconds of a voucher being posted.

04

Security.

STATE — TLS 1.3 · HMAC-SIGNED

Every payload is HMAC-signed. Transit is TLS 1.3. The connector is paired to one Intracalc account at a time — you control which phone sees the data. Unpair from the app any time.

05

When pairing fails.

TRIAGE — RESTART CONNECTOR

Most failures are clock drift, a firewall blocking outbound HTTPS to sync.intracalc.com, or Tally being closed on the PC. Restart the connector from the system tray and try again.
